Forres Holidays are led by the Rev Rupert Shelley. He is married to Georgina and they have three children. Having studied Geography at Bristol University, Rupert served a Short Service Commission in the Royal Green Jackets. After the Army he served as a Youth Worker at a church in Basingstoke after which he trained for Church of England ministry at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford. Rupert served as Assistant Minister at Emmanuel Church, Wimbledon for four years before joining the Titus Trust to head up Forres.
Alongside the Iwerne & Forres Staff Team, Rupert leads a team of Volunteer Leaders each summer. Leaders come from a wide variety of backgrounds – many are teachers in Independent Schools and have a wealth of experience with the Forres age group, whilst others are Undergraduate Students. There is normally one leader for every two to three children, which means we offer exceptional supervision and care.
All leaders are checked for suitability through the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly Criminal Records Bureau) and according to the Child Protection policy of The Titus Trust.
